Jean Paul Goude is one of my biggest inspirations. A filmmaker and photographer, he has captured some of the most definitive images of French avant-garde sexuality. His work with Grace Jones (particularly the "Nightclubbing" album art) was at once trail-blazingly stylish and chillily androgynous. He recently teamed up with Jones for a commemorative issue of V, introducing his work to a new generation of fashion-slaves. Here is an amazingly robust video retrospective of Goude's work.
