The reason why I like the new Friendly Fires song isn't because a boy once made me a mixtape with the perfect FF track but because it has this Brazilian-pop groove that reminds me of being 6 and thinking my mom was super refined and awesome listening to her Basia cassette tape in her champagne ES300. These days it's a black Volvo and we agree that Basia is kind of dorky but I still think this is a great summer jam for cruising around with a veil of refined awesomeness.
