GET ON D TRAIN

D-Train is hands down the most underrated R&B act from the 80's. With a hefty voice (and body to match) and top-notch production laced with the jazziest synths and keyboards, Brooklyn born Jamed "D-Train" Williams was definitely a major force and helped define black dance music. I mean not only did Biggie sample "Keep On" for "Sky's The Limit" but the REAL Lady GaGa Roisin Murphy cited D-Train as a major influence on her latest album Overpowered, and performed "Keep On" through most of her tour. You just don't get cooler cred than Biggie and Roisin.
